The globe or should we say the world is disrupted on many levels and aspects and it would be right and spot on to say confusion now reigns supreme as the new world order and the "anxiety barometer" is pumped up.

The theaters,playground and enablers for these state of affairs are Putin and his adventurism in Ukraine,global power and influence tussle starring the US and China,struggling and diminishing nations' quest for relevance and national rebirth,the perpetual unrest in the Korean pennisular,proxy wars,emergence of strange alignments and realignments between and amongst nation-blocks,food insecurity,diseases,ailments and epidemics,and the continuous ploughing of the resources and manipulation of Governments of the developing countries of the southern hemisphere by the developed or first world countries in the northern hemisphere with Africa as the ready-made,"all comers-are-welcome",free operational zone.


If we are careful or lucky to somehow successfully navigate these plethora of booby traps and looming implosion then a new world order beckons,not sure how this will play out or set in but the world would never be the same as we know it.It would surely get worse before it gets better with the prospect of a 4th World War looming large on the horizon.The compulsive drive and sometimes maniacal push by Putin to restore or recreate the "Russian Empire" is a seal to this danger and let's face it,he has nothing really to loose,and there lies the ominious.NATO and it's "Big Uncle"counterpart,the US are suddenly coming to terms with thoughts on the extent and how far the Russian authoritarian leader-for-life can go.


For the avoidance of a global catastrophe and a multi dimensional disruption of massive proportion, a truce has to be called fast by placating or massaging Putin's ego,this is in no way a sign of weakness but a most intelligient move in dealing with a man who has proven not have standards or any subscription to global best practice or vestige of emotions and humanity,only the perception and optics that its status presents to the world as towering,invincible and untouchable and we all know, no one fits this space,its all propaganda and an ego and face saving feed,but massaging his ego we must, for the sake of the sane thinking part of the world,the helpless Russian people that are firmly in his grip and then of course humanity.It must be mentioned that these disruptions and frightening prospects favours the silent and observing China,waiting on the wings to take and maintain a strategic position and niche in all these.A weakened and very busy Russia as its neighbour suits and fits perfectly to its wider and over all interest.Russia should also keep an eye on China's support in this matter for it might not be truly complimentary but a ploy to be the dominant geopolitical and oriental power.


An all out war would cripple the Russian economy and most probably deplete its military  arsenal but in an era of twists and turns,unknown allies might align with Russia and make things a lot more complicated than the military strategist and eggheads might have envisaged,still my prescription of placating and massaging frayed nerves  through conferences,talk shows,horse trading, negotiations,summits, diplomacy and of course the United Nations is central to solving this multi faceted conflict.Its time to go to work especially when we realise that when push comes to shove and pushed even further against the wall,we are dealing with a mind that will probably have no hesitation to press the Nuclear button.
